2026 Nomination Form

The Student Talon Award is an honor bestowed annually at the Student Talon Leadership and Service Award Ceremony to a student who exemplifies exceptional leadership and service to the University. A selection committee, composed of alumni, will evaluate nominees within a broad framework of leadership, looking specifically at their contributions to the Florida Atlantic community.

Any Florida Atlantic University student who is in good academic and social standing with the University and meets the requirements below is eligible to receive this award. Your completion of the following questions will assist the committee in the selection of this year’s recipient. Please note: Self-nominations are accepted.

Requirements for Nominee:

  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level student.
  • In good standing with the institution. (According to Academic Standards and Student Code of Conduct)
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. 
  • Recorded Community Service hours via Noble Hour site (40 hours for undergraduates / 20 hours for graduates) 
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and service to Florida Atlantic.


Requirements for the submission:

  • Nominee’s name and Florida Atlantic email
  • Letter of recommendation from one of the following:
    • Academic professor / Academic advisor
    • Student organization advisor 
    • Supervisor/Mentor from Florida Atlantic 
  • An impact statement from nominee (no more than 750 words)
    • Prompt: Describe how your leadership, service, and involvement have made a meaningful difference on campus and to your peers. Focus on the outcomes and impact of your involvement, not just the roles or activities
  • Brief bio of the nominee (no more than 250 words)
  • Nominee’s professional photo (high-resolution headshot 1 MB or larger)
The winner will be announced at the Talon Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony on the evening of Wednesday, October 21, 2026!

Submissions close Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
